Park Review: 1. Park Quality - The park needs some TLC. Lots of debris, weeds, and goat head thorns everywhere in the park. The laundry room is clean and there are plentiful washers and dryers. I did not use the restrooms or showers. 2. Sites - All sites are concrete pads that are fairly level. Good sized sites with lots of room for outdoor setups. Utilities were good with the exception of extremely hard water. 3. Location - Near Sierra Vista and a short drive to Tombstone. The park is kind of remote and takes about 15 minutes or more to get off Post. 4. Noise - Because of the remoteness of the park it is extremely quiet. 5. Cell Service - Verizon was three bars of 5G. 6. Wifi - Park WiFi was 73 Mbps down and 16 Mbps up. Starlink was 206 Mbps down and 16 Mbps up. 7. Rates - $35 a day. 8. Access - You need to be qualified to access a military installation. 9. Dog Friendliness - I say this place is not dog friendly because of the goat head thorns. They were bad all around the park. There is a dog pen at the park and it’s really pathetic. About a mile away is a really nice dog park that has nice grass and is well cared for. --- Wrapping it up. Many may find this park a good place to spend some time but for me and my dog, we won’t be back.

The government shutdown has chg’ed main gate hours so call ahead. Buffalo Soldier gate is 24/7 now. Campgrd no longer has cable. WiFi works but spotty. The park is 2/3 empty. Plenty of room. Base facilities seem to be normal hours & services. No big change since last reviewer's post.

Snow bird haven during the winter, but off-season almost deserted. Five miles from the front gate in what appears to be the older part of the post, somewhat isolated from the newer facilities on post. The RV campground has 50 FHU spaces, and was almost empty when we pulled up in August. However, front desk advised that from October to March, the campground is packed "snow birds" leaving colder, snow areas up north. Centrally located office has both gender bathrooms, as well as washers/dryers. There is both heavy duty and regular dryers, and price appears to be $1.25 for regular wash/dry. Nominally, the camp host would be in site 26. Cable TV is available for 70 channels. Checklist has 13 resort rules to acknowledge when checking in. Also, have to execute a signed code of ethics and provide the RVIA registration number in addition to the normal DoD ID/vehicle license/make/model. WiFi: StarLink: Mbps 125down/26up T-Mobile: Mbps 559down/20up Campground: Mbps 13.9down/3.1up CableTV not evaluated for just an overnight stay.
