Top of the world for our drive to Alaska. Place is not bad as the older reviews may suggest. Staff was nice, check in nice, grounds have been redone with electric and water at all sites, sites level with plenty of room. A bit hard to get to as the main gate is closed until Oct 2026, so if you don’t know your way around, it can be an adventure. Driving in base housing with a 40’ motorhome times two, just to get around construction work. I know it will be all better upon completion. We had to get our guests visitor passes and that was tough with the construction in the area, but the security contractors were very helpful. Base looks well kept. Minor aircraft traffic in and out of Ladd. Mosquitoes galore. Do your best to eliminate!!
