Know that in Texas it is a hanging offense to make chili with beans instead of meat. But, when it is free then the offense is immediately pardoned. ;) Who is doing the hot wings?

Not sure were Istew4U is and why they used our first names instead of User Name as we all do out of respect for each other but skyking8 how about if my chili has beans and meat and has chili peppers in it? Not in Texas this year but we sure do love the food in Texas esp. Chicken Tortilla Soup in restaurants in the Mercado in San Antonio. Will be in Ft. Sam Houston next winter and will eat enough to sink a battleship. Oh by the way the "hot wings" will be made by the retired fly boys, who knows wings better than them.

Hey Rick, what do you think about first names? Right or wrong. And you too, John, you got a dog in this camp? And Larry, what do you think, you own this joint. Just Bill and Genie here, asking quietly, so we don't raise a fuss. :) :)

Never really thought much about it Bill. My name is listed on my profile and I don't mind anybody using it. I can see where lamsan is coming from though...with all the privacy concerns nowadays it seems reasonable NOT to want your name used on a public forum.

If he brings some of his chili with him, I'll call him whatever he wants!

Just my humble opinion.

John

The only thing wrong with being retired is that you never get a day off!

Personally, I don't see a problem using real names. It's not like you know my social security number or my credit card numbers.

There are other RV sites where the the webmaster does not use their name like Larry does. I do some stuff with other public websites and Facebook sites. I use terms like webmaster, administrator, etc to guard my name, privacy, and connection with those sites. Little, if any, “personal” info is posted. Some other RV sites provide for listing a signature at the bottom of posts and the person's name is obvious. That's not something I do either.

I could have used my name when I joined here, but chose to do a unique user name. Perhaps that's from my other work and a habit of being aware of internet privacy issues. Now that I think of it, I don't have my name posted on my profile here.

I use the User name just out of courtesy to that person since I hadn't asked to do differently.
