I agree with Richard about buying diesel, if you can, but more importantly, buy the most you can afford, because you WILL want larger, longer, more economical (diesel) sometime down the road.
BTW - Welcome to our little world. Life is good on the road, and it only gets better as you become comfortable with the lifestyle!

Newly retired coastie family here. Working on our second careers as we get the kids through jr high, high school and college. Hope to be part time RVing once the baby is off to college. Saving for a used diesel class A. Is there a good article out there that goes over RVing for newbies and what you wish you had on the RV you bought?

Welcome, read everything u can, ask a lot of questions an look at different types of RV's.. It is funny when u talk to someone their unit is the best, maybe that is because they own it?? What is right for them might not be right for u.. Also u might want to look at a lesser priced unit to start camping in so u can learn all the ropes before u retire an camp more..l. Google for different type RV boards..
