Any of you that are that use AT&T for your wireless provider, Take your ID card (active or retired) or a copy of your DD214 to any of their stores for 15% off your bill. A friend told me about this and I signed up today. Some DOD civil workers qualify also. Here is a link to check it out; www.facebook.com/ATTGov/info

I have friend that tell me other wireless providers also offer similar discounts.

Verizon does the same. I'm getting 15% of the phone service, but not data.

Sprint offers 15% too but you can't get it at the store you have to email your documents to them unless you have a .mil email address.

I got a mail out notice from Verizon that I needed to validate my employer status in order to continue a 15% discount. After having talked with several reps, I found out that there is a memo saying that military retirees do not have to jump thru this hoop. However, not all reps are aware of it. It might be necessary to insist that they comply with corporate policy on this issue.

More of the BS with Verizon's discount!! I just got a statement that had knocked off a buck-50 from my discount. I called and was told that the "government" renegotiated the contract to the lower figure. Anyone else have this issue?

Don't know about the other carriers, but AT&T will not give the discount on a basic plan. Their advertised $45 a month plan does not come with any discount.
