The RV park is very centrally located on base. It is easy walking distance to the ITT Center where you must check in, the gas station is across the street, the laundry/showers are close as are the fitness center, bowling alley and Spuds, the "chow hall." The laundry is free! Spuds is not a good deal, I would avoid it. The bowling alley has an amazingly large menu, great prices and excellent food. There is a relatively quiet area to eat separate from the bowling lanes. Spuds has a sports bar in addition to the eating facility but it is also extremely pricey for an on-base club. The RV park is supposed to have cable TV hook ups at every site but the host told us they have not have cable service in many months. If you are just stopping for one night and don't mind dry camping the Tachi Palace Indian Casino is five miles down the road. They offer free dry camping. Their parking lot is quiet and patrolled by security 24/7. We stayed at Lemoore in a travel trailer.

Lemoore Famcamp has been taken over by permanent residents and is very messy. I don't begrudge active service members using famcamps till they can relocate to permanent quarters, but I do have issues with famcamp management that allows homesteading complete with storage sheds and toys strown all aver the site and into the streets. Lemoore is a very small Famcamp so this lack of management is especially distressing. The famcamp looks like a shanty town.

OMG ! what a mess the Lemoore park has become. apparently they are using it to house sailors that they don't have housing for yet, by the way the junk is piled up next to the trailers I doubt you can get a short stay. what will always amaze me is that over by the horse stables there is an area that at one time must have been base housing. all the hookups you would need to have a 1st class RV park are sitting there doing nothing, nice trees and great shade, something the old RV park don't have and never has, but the navy just lets it sit there. what a great place for the long term people. oh well ! I didn't understand the military before I retired and that hasn't changed much.

The RV park was very nice. Pull through concrete pad sites abound, camp host (Army type - yeah) was very helpful and site is easily found. A couple of things though - park streets are very narrow and lined with railroad ties and registration was muddled. We had a reservation and upon arrival (1600 hours and camp host was not immediately available), we called the reservation number. Oops - after much apologies the nice young lady admitted that they couldn't figure out how to work the software. Not a real problem BUT if the NAS expands as indicated - figure out the software please. The camp host didn't bother us that night but the next day apologized again with my receipt in hand. We gladly stay here again as we move through California - but wow it really is in the middle of Not Much. We stayed here in our motorhome.

We didn’t stay here, happened to be on station and did a looky-loo. (Very nice looking station with plenty of new/renovated buildings and fairly new NAVEX & Commissary.) The RV park appeared to be full. Location isn’t the most desirable sort of right in the middle of the action of the station, no trees, sites had some space between them but not a lot. Overall appearance of RV park was fine, didn’t notice any RVs that looked undesirable but were a couple with a certain amount of stuff outside. As noted in the information about getting through the main gate, there are some serious curbs and on a curve that need to be negotiated. Based on the amount of rubber on the edges of the curbs, they get bumped a fair amount. Might be worth investigating the option of coming in the truck gate. Overall would consider staying here.

Lemoore is a great base with a great park, the folks at the villiage rock ! BUT - be aware that the base is destined to be the largest navy air base on earth, right now all the roads are torn up for improvement, the whole base is abuzz trying to get updated before the new jets and new squadrons move in. I suspect when that happens the RV park will fill up with ships company members who will be waiting for limited housing on base. one thing I can't understand. they have a section over by the horse stables where base housing had long ago been removed. this area has all the utilities n the ground, all the spots marked off and would make a superb 2cd RV park, trees, grass, everything the RV park doesn't have now. I wonder why MWR hasn't turned that into a park yet ?

Called on 29 Apr to make a reservation for 4 May. The young lady who answered the phone took all our information and we was told that another person would call later with a site number. We never received a call, just like all the other times we have stayed here. Upon arrival at the park there was nothing on the message board and it appeared all sites were either full or reserved. We called the host who came down with his list and of course we weren't on it. Luckily, there was one site left. Note to self: get the name and a confirmation before going to the park and if they don't call you back with a site number, call them back! I plan to stay long enough to talk the the manager before we leave. Park roads a a little small but we were able to get our 40ft 5'er in OK. Check out Spuds for great drinks and good bar food. Diesel fuel was $3.87 today.

There seems to be no check in process here and MWR only operates the other base amenities on a very limited basis. Spuds is very close but if you think you're going to grab a cold beer there on any days other than Friday or Saturday you're kidding yourself. If you're looking for a place to pull over and sleep this campground is great. If you're looking for any entertainment outside of your RV please keep moving. Base pool, car wash, Spuds taps, McDonalds dinning room. All closed during our visit.

On Apr.29th I called ITT to reserve a spot in the RV park for the night of Apr 30. When I arrived I was directed to a spot that was already occupied. When I told the person in ITT she said just take any empty spot. I informed her there were no empty spots. I realized these people did not have a clue as to what was going on in the RV park. I finally got my money back and left.

what a shame. the things going on in the navy today. mwr seems to have given up on doing anything except make money off the sailors. this was once a nice rv park but now the weeds are a foot tall all around my trailer, the place filty. my wife tried to do the laundry but was faced with a horde of roaches, we went to the store and bought bug spray to spray the laundry and shower house. we had stayed at fallon last week and were told they had closed their galley due to funding, Lemoore is about to do the same. all the lawns around base have been allowed to go to weeds and are not being mowed. what a shame this is. we are thinking its time to stop staying on navy bases, they aren't much cheaper than civilian rv parks anymore. shame on whoever cut the budget that deeply, maybe the military needs to look at the banking and insurance industry, or maybe the auto industry for a bailout, huh ?

wow what can you say about lemoore ? lets start with clean, well layed out, free laundry, no wi fi, but hey, if you don't have a virgin mobile stick for your laptop by now, your "OLD !" swimming pool with water slide, lap pool, gym that makes gold gym pale in comparison, commissary and exchange, chow hall (don't go there - bad, really bad ) car wash, bowling alley, chapel, etc. etc. etc. within walking distance. where on earth are you going to find all that outside the base for 25 bucks ? "NOWHERE " and crystal and holly. what a couple sweethearts, you gotta see this place. i realize the r.v. parks are creeping up in price, but some are worth it. this one is !!

Lemoore NAS is a great half way point to spend the night from and to NorCa to San Diego. I talked to the friendly staff and made a reservation the day of our arrival. I told the staff the time I expected to pull in and I would pay cash for the camp site. The drive took us longer than expected and we arrived late. We drove in from the East and the GPS took us to the wrong gate. Security was helpful and we where only six miles from the main gate. Full hook ups were available including cable TV. However, the cable TV was not available, I think because I was not able to pay in advance, the cable was not turned on. All sites are pull through and the pad is cement and level, everywhere else is rock. At each site is a trash can which is nice to be able to dump your trash. Near the RV camp ground is a golf driving range, McDonalds, swimming pool with an awesome curly slide and bathrooms that we did not use. On this web site is a couple of videos that are very accurate to what I saw. I recommend watching them.  We left early the next morning and I did not find an RV check in and there is no RV host. I called the reservation desk and paid for my site. We will be back again. I have a 24' Toyhauler pulled by a Silverado Diesel.

Arrived without reservations: no problem as there were many open sites. The folks at Check-in were very cordial and helpful. Entire base seemed to be more modernized than any we've visited before. We compared our experiences at Lemoore with those at Seal Beach to reach our ratings.

o.k. apparently someone has been reading these posts. the grass was cut, the park cleaned up and the laundry room, while not clean was bug free. too many homesteaders for an r.v park like this one. the staff were, as always, very good to deal with. we had bought a new 5th wheel and the bank in colo. wanted a vin inspection before they would finalize the loan. the base security officers came over and did the vin check and sent it to colo. thanks guys, you rock! we will be back in October to have a 50th anniversary party with my best friend in fresno, so we will see how it holds up.

Awareness: Wanting to get my rig out and do some camping. The perfect opportunity weekend arose when my daughter decided to visit Disneyland with her boyfriend for her birthday weekend. In other words. The wife, dog and I were free to travel without guests. I chose Naval Air Station Lemoore as our destination for its close proximity, low park fee and the security of being on a naval base. Narrative: This was our first time visiting NAS Lemoore and its RV Park so, not wanting to arrive to any surprises, I did what research I could before our trip. Unfortunately, the Youtube videos of the park were over six years old and didn't provide any information such as directions from the bases main gate or, where to find space numbers once at the park. There was also little to no reviews on any of the RV websites or forum boards to help. But after contracting the bases Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) office, who oversee the RV park. I was able to look at the old Youtube footage and piece together where our space (number 3) was actually located once we arrived. Scene: The RV park is located on the housing side of the base. The RV sites are extremely wide concrete slabs but, the sites are only about 40 feet long. Not enough room to park your Truck or car on the side of your RV but, just enough to park in front of it. Each site comes with 50/30 amp hook-ups. Water. Sewer and cable ready. Additionally, each site has its own metal picnic table. Trash can and a BBQ pit. Open fires from a fire pit are not allowed unless your pit has an arrester. Gas fire pits are okay to use. The park also has a Mens / Womens restroom and, two FREE washer and dryer's for use. Across the street from the RV park is a McDonalds. And to the left of the RV park entrance is a nice brewery / restaurant named Spuds. Adjacent to the RV park is a golf driving range. The outdoor aquatic center and a fenced in dog park with a separate are in the park for smaller dogs weighing 15 pounds or less. Plenty of dog "potty" bags are available trough the dog park. Evidence: Overall, this RV park is super nice and the price we paid for two full nights was $24 dollars. There are a few things you should know before you decide to visit this park though. - When making reservations. Call the MWR office directly. Going through the DOD Lodging website can only make the reservations but, won't be able to tell you your space number. - When you call the MWR office to make your reservations. Be sure to ask what space number you'll have. Your email conformation will NOT have this information. - When arriving at the bases gate. Do NOT use the truck gate. Stay in the right hand lane through the main gate. This is the same for your exit off the base with you RV. The exit looks light (and it is) but, going slow and using the left exit lane may be your only option if leaving on a weekend or holiday. The truck gate is not open on weekends or holidays. - If you drive or pull with a Diesel Truck. The NEX gas station has diesel fuel but, its only located on the island next to the Exchange. - Most of the RV park spaces are currently occupied by long term campers or active military waiting for housing. Expect to see and possibly hear dogs from your neighbors sites. - I was told by the resident manager (Bill) this park will be closing on March 1, 2022 and was expected to be closed for several months while the park is refurbished and expanded. Be sure to call MWR well in advance to see if the park is accepting reservations. Recommendation(s): NAS Lemoore's RV Campground is extremely nice. The amenities can't be beat nor can the price. If you find yourself in the Central Valley of California. Have access to the installation and want to camp and relax cheap, this is your place.

Only stayed for one night, but discovered that there are long term residents that have active duty spouses and contractors in the same status. Sort of limits the spaces. I agree with other reviews that the service should ensure that they have sufficient real housing space before they station a new family to the base. As for the facilities - pulled in on a Saturday, so nobody was around. After reading the whole board I discovered that my "assigned" space had been changed to one closer to the laundry building. For the most part, quiet, especially at night. Not a bad CG, but a little out of my way. Only choose it to keep my daily drives shorter. I would stay here again and maybe for longer than one night.

I needed a place to wait for a week or so for my travel companion to join up with me. My criteria included: within a couple hours of Yosemite, affordable, safe, nearby Commissary and Exchange, laundry facilities, gas station, dog friendly. The Lemoore FamCamp has all of this. It is not the most attractive or exciting place to be but that was not my primary focus. The staff are friendly and helpful. The dog park is huge - around an acre - and my two big dogs loved it. Unfortunately, many folks do not pick up after their dogs so watch out for the poop. This is a failing everywhere. No-one wants to step in dog stuff but somehow people can rationalize not picking it up after their darlings. Oh well. The laundry facility is free for RV'ers and there are 3 sets of washers and dryers. The Commissary and NEX are a 10 minute walk or (in my case) a 4 minute scooter ride. I did some banking, got my hair cut and generally caught my breath. Cable still not working ($3 daily discount) but was able to pull in several TV stations. The Wash Rack is currently closed, which was disappointing. I watched a man and his wife pull into an empty site with their fifth wheel and then proceed to wash it. They are not camping here, just used the site as a wash rack. Yes, its noisy but I am retired Air Force and find the roar of jets to be comforting. Street noise is easily blocked out with the windows closed and the AC running. I would stay here again if I had the same needs but the area itself is not too exciting.

Spent the week here while visiting nearby Sequoia National Monument. We had reservations and arrived on a weekend. The bulletin board normally has incoming reservations posted, but not this time. We found the host in site #13, but he didn't have our reservation information. He was very friendly and helped us. The check-in process has changed. Check-ins are now across the street at the ITT office, which is open 7 days a week. We finally got paid and settled in. They need to remove the old instructions on the bulletin board. The RV Park is "okay", but nothing special. No WiFi, but the laundry is free. The laundry and restrooms were very clean. Park never got above $60% full all week. The dining facility is next to the RV Park, called "Spuds". We had dinner there one night, but though it was expensive at $11 a person for a limited menu selection. For active duty sailors, it's their free dining hall. We recently had a better dinner for $8 at the Camp San Luis Obispo dining hall. Much of the MWR facilities are falling apart and neglected. I agree with previous reviewers, MWR isn't what it used to be.

Nice RV park that is off the beaten path. Made it through the truck gate just before closing at 4:30PM. Checking in was very easy. Work is in progress on the parking lot next to the park so be careful going in for a month or so. Walking distance to the Commissary and NEX and Nap's Grill which serves drinks and bar food. The stuffed mushrooms were outstanding. Very nice restrooms and free laundry. Cable was down so they discounted the price to $22. Still, a little pricey for a military park.
