Wall Beach Cabins & Campground ADDED
Recently, I was told that Vandenberg AFB in California had a couple new campgrounds. I made the trip there and found one new campground (the other was just a name change).
Wall Beach Cabins and Campground is located directly on Wall Beach, located on Vandenberg AFB. There's 4 small cabins and 4 tent sites. I've added information about Wal BEach Campground and some photos to the website.

Bringing Back the Original Names of 8 Army Posts
In 2023, then President Biden changed the names of several Army Posts. (Read about it here).
In 2025, President Trump announced “We are also going to be restoring the names to Fort Bragg, Fort Pickett, Fort Hood, Fort Gordon, Fort Rucker, Fort Polk, Fort A.P. Hill, and Fort Robert E. Lee, We won a lot of battles out of those forts. It’s no time to change.”
The following U.S. Army installations are changing names (again). I've also included what U.S. Military Campgrounds and RV Parks are affected.
USCG Fort Wadsworth Guest Quarters ADDED!
Information on the USCG Fort Wadsworth Guest Quarters has been added to the site. The USCG Fort Wadsworth Guest Quarters is located on historical Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island, New York. The Fort is home to USCG Sector New York. Staten Island, a borough of New York City, is just a short scenic ferry ride from Manhattan, the heart of New York City. Easy access from the Newark Airport or interstate I-95 in New Jersey. Two houses are former family-housing units, comprised of a two and three bedroom apartment are avaiable for recreational lodging.

NEW RV PARK! Information on Camp Hale at Fort Carson, CO Added to the Site.
This area was previously the rustic camping location of Camp Falcon on Fort Carson and has been renamed to Camp Hale. It has been turned into a full rate RV Park with cabins and tent sites. There's also a small store, laundry, and restrooms. Camp Hale is also great for hiking with a nature trail that winds through a delightful area of mature trees, open meadows, and an old creek bed with plenty of chances to view wildlife. Camp Hale is available to all and provides individuals the opportunity to utilize Fort Hale's Outdoor Recreation which offers whitewater rafting, paintball, a challenge course, skiing, mountain biking, and ice / rock climbing programs This facility is open to the public.

Recreational Cabins Available at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ.
In 2009, Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey closed the campground at Lake Denmark. However, (unknown to me) in 2010 they installed 12 new cabins for recreational lodging. I've added many photos of these cabins along with maps, details of these recreational cabins.

Davis Monthan AFB FamCamp Now Boneyard Vista RV Park
Many years ago, Davis Monthan AFB operated a nice FamCamp known as "Agave Gulch". A few years ago, they changed their name to "Davis Montha AFB FamCamp. Recently, they changed their name again to "Boneyard Vista RV Park". If you're looking for infomration on the Davis Montah AFB FamCamp, you'll now find it listed under Boneyard Vista RV Park.

Grassy Pond Recreation Area CLOSED
Grassy Pond Recreation Area operated by Moody AFB, GA is CLOSED indeifnetly due to hurricane damage. Currently, a re-opening date is unknown.
This FamCamp is located off base and is open to the public, when in operation.
