If he will be at Naval Station Norfolk or NAS Norfolk or any of the adjacent activities the closest FamCamp is Fort Monroe.. And it's Norfolk pronounced Knaw-fulk (the "L" is silent) grew up there, was stationed there.. If he is at Little Creek then Little Creek.. Same for Dam Neck & Oceana, both have good FamCamps.. And don't forget Fort Story if other camps are full..

It's closer than I would have thought.. you can almost see NAS from Ft Monroe.. but Ft Monroe is about a mile closer.. (I grew up in Norfolk & was stationed at NAS..)

it would be for me. his orders read NS norfolk. he won't report in until august and i will go out there early next year for a visit.
