Going well here Bill. We're at Pointes West in Appling, GA right now, but we're leaving Saturday. Heading home for the holidays and then we're going to pick up again in January and start heading west and south to get some warmer weather. We're planning on a week each in New Orleans, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi on the way to Mission, TX. We'll be staying at the MCG's at each stop, but a civilian snowbird park for a month in Mission. Never stayed there before, but a couple of people I know recommended it. It's a 55+ park, so it should be quiet! LOL

We'll be in New Orleans from the 19th through the 26th of January, Ft Sam Houston from Jan 27th through Feb 3, and Shields NAS from Feb 3rd through Feb 10th. Then Split Rail RV Park in Mission from Feb 10th through Mar 12th. We'll be heading back this way after that. If you guys are in the neighborhood, drop by and we'll swap some lies! :woohoo:

The only thing wrong with being retired is that you never get a day off!

Hey, are all you Yankees getting the required Green Card to come into my state of Texas? It's free if you eat some BBQ, tho. That would be the best in the US. Yeah, I know I'm going to get some grief from the KS and TN folks. :cheer:

I'll agree with you concerning brisket. NOBODY does it better than Texas. Ribs now are a whole nother story. Several states do better ribs than Texas.

Lately, our travels have been a little rushed. We decided to take a cruise out of Port Canaveral, FL, leaving within the week.

We recently stopped at Pointes West Recreation Area for a few days, and are now at Wateree Recreation Area. We leave tomorrow morning for either JB Charleston FamCamp or Foster Creek. Being Christmas Eve, it depends if we can get into either one. After only a couple days there, we move down to Lotts Island (I've been wanting to see this place). Spending one night there, we're heading straight down to Patrick AFB or KARS (depends if we can get into Patrick).

Then it's cruise time. When we return, we'll head to NAS Key West for 2 - 3 weeks. We don't mind dry-camping. After that, precise plans haven't been made. We'll slowly start heading back West along the southern route, visiting numerous military campgrounds. We'll have about 6 weeks to return, so there won't be a hurry.

Were in Wateree May for 2 weeks and loved it there. Thanks to your web site I found that place. If you wind up around Jax Florida on the way down, let us know. Love to meet up with you.
