Just to clarify a point brought out in the above posting. Police & Fire retirements vary and here in NJ a member of the Police & Firemans pension system could retire at 20 yrs with a substantial reduction in benefit and no medical. It takes 25 yrs to reach what they call an early retirement that includes medical and 30 yrs. to reach a full retirement and this is up for changes with the current mood in Trenton. Not sure how these things are handled in other states. I stand with ya'll on the remainder of the points mentioned. Elections are our time to speak out.
