To original thread poster...
I'm gonna do you a solid & tell you to do yourself a favor and go to Patrick or panhandle bases this winter if you just gotta be in Florida 2017-2018, key worst and Macdill are almost offline this year...you don't wanna be there, really!

Key west totally need a reservation, it's all drycamp/boondocking and minimal services for an increased rate this year??? No thanks...I'm a key worst resident and I'm not coming home this winter, why???

Macdill is all pad now, no dry camp anymore much less overflow option anymore as they're building cabins where drycamp was so as to establish billeting that is kid friendly options for parents as new Macdill Inn/conference center is absolutely off limits to minors as its more business conferce center than Air Force inn which I absolutely love this place and it's policy as much as their bar! Greatest & classiest place on Macdill to use Internet, entertain or relax by far without dependents and their kids running screaming acting like spazzes on meth ruining the grown up atmosphere!

Kinda sad last year at macdill only option for parents with kids was rent a MWR pad setup rental trailer in campground (if one was available?) or buy a tent and tent camp or go to an offbase motel?
kinda funny how kiddo thing wasn't addressed/planned for when they planned and built the new Macdill inn/conference center but that place is more southern pentagon than Air Force in , I get the feeling the generals of centcom/general tony Thomas socom commander helped making this this way it's all so planned out well set up so well with top generals quarters just 2 blocks away all on water with views with other onbase generals quarters same distance to the Macdill inn/conference center...inside the bar at night is most top heavy brass filled place I've been aside from the pentagon/the dist.

Again, Patrick or panhandle is where I'd go this winter if I wanted to be in Florida...

Has anyone been to (or currently at) Sigsbee this year? I have reservations for late April and am interested in first hand report of conditions.

Thanks,

Bill

A couple of attachments have been added to the NASKW RV Park listing. Due to the recent hurricane damage, they've implemented new reservation policies and procedures for the 2017/2018 winter season.

These are:
  1. The 2017/2018 Interim Reservation Policy
  2. The 2017/2018 Reservation Process and Procedures

You can see the NASKW listing and attachments here.

From what I've heard from friends there, it's mosly back to normal, less some dry sites along the water.
You should have no problems in April.

I just read that Key West is allowing people to extend 90 day stays to 180 days and then they have to vacate for at least 14 days. I sure don't care for this "homesteading" trend.

It’s better than it was with previously no requirement to vacate.
