This campground is on a secure base, just inside the gate. This is actually a nice base with a beautiful lake, there is a base beach and a campground beach which is an easy walk. If you have a boat you can anchor it there. There are food trucks between the PX and enlisted club which makes for an easy meal. What a beautiful spot. Sites were level and staggered so every site has a view. The shelter over the picnic table was appreciated so we did not have to put out our awning and worry if the wind would kick up. FHU for $10 can’t be beat. Even overflow has electric and water. We called ahead and were lucky enough to get a FHU site when we arrived. PX and commissary close early! Not a lot of dining options...

We were lucky enough to spend most of the Covid19 lock down here. What a great place to lay back and just spend time. We were all family by the time things broke up. Battleship Row has level concrete slabs, full hookups, mature trees for shade, laundry, bathhouse, pet washing station, boat ramps for all watercraft, small beach and picnic area. Marina for rentals and propane. Great fishing, and nature trails.

What a hidden gem! beautiful scenic lake, quiet, clean, concrete full hookup sites. if you like kayaking or jet skiing this place would be great in season. we love to walk and took great walks around base. there are NO facilities on this base and it is 11 miles from town, which is inconvenient. the young woman working the desk at checkin was less than helpful.
