A bit rundown, expensive compared to other AF Famcamps.
Nice and quiet, we stayed 4 nights and the B-1's flew only one evening. Nice free museum just off base. First night was in overflow, $15. 50 amp only great wifi, 3 more nights in the RV park were $30. per night. Bathrooms/showers are old and need work, laundry is free. We have a 35' 5th wheel and came in the main gate just fine.
Thank you for updating the directions to the Famcamp. Please UPDATE the cost for full hook-ups, they are $22. now, overflow is still $15. The showers, bathroom and laundry is very clean, better than most famcamps. Debbie in the office was very helpful and got us into FHU after 1 night dry camping.
We have a 34' 5th wheel and followed the instructions using Truman gate and had no problems. Staying 3 nights at the newer area on the east side of famcamp. Sites are big and wide with lots of room, (just gravel). Bath/shower is worn like most famcamps, nothing special there. We went to the Petroglyphs National Monument and to the Sandia Tram. Base is nice, Big BX and commissary, diesel at the express station.
Very nice, clean and friendly staff and people. We stayed in the newer 200 section, I don't really have any complaints-except the usual: the WiFi sucks.
Nice place, bathrooms are clean, very quiet base. No problems at the Lompoc gate getting in.
Only just got here, staying one week. Beware main gate, (Schneider) is closed. Height limit on Doolittle gate is 13' I had to turn around and go through the Wheatland gate, clearance is 15'.
Nice place, beautiful lake, rentals for fishing boats, pontoon boats, and more. Fishing off the dock, and swimming. Needs some TLC, kind of run down, RV spots are really close together. The price is right, no limit on your stay, so some are set up for the whole season.
Nice and quiet. Elect. hookup only water was not on. But for $10. it's a good deal.
Nice clean place, bathrooms are very nice. Close to major road off base so it's a bit noisy.
