First time visit, passing through to Louisiana. Place was clean and camp host was friendly. Small base so everything, the Club shopping and ITT were close. The only concern was the emergency storm shelter is far away.
Came in via main gate (now open again). It is best to call ahead for reservations. Must stop at the billeting office to sign in, they will assign you a spot. This is a water 20/30 amp famcamp. It is good for a few days until your holding thanks are full. Tried several sites to find a level one but was unable to find one. It took several lifts to get it close. We saw a few motorhomes with the front wheels off the ground. By the way, you muse enter the post from the East Gate not the Main Gate. That is closed except to cars due to construction....
We came in on 16 Dec 2007 and will be here through mid Mar 2008. This is our fourth visit here in the last six years. Like most MCG's we enjoy the base/post security & this base is no exception.
