Make sure you have reservations.
I stopped there on my way North in July of this year and it was 1700 when I got to the gate. Security Guard politely informed me if I didn't have a reservation I could not enter the CG. Factor in MWR was closed for the day, I could not make an overnight stop there. Ended up at a local CG at Sunset Beach.
