Saying hello was created by riverosonline
Hello all,

I just became a member, and see many folks introducing themselves, so thought I would do the same.

My wife and I are both Active Duty Air Force, stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. We got into the camping scene pretty much when we got married 13 years ago, doing a bunch of tent camping all over the place. We upgraded to a 2002 Coleman Bayside pop-up a couple years ago (for sale right now!!), and this year purchased a Starcraft Homestead 28 foot travel trailer. We love camping any chance we get with our two kids and two dogs. Hopefully winter will release its grip on Ohio soon and we can get out there!! Hope to meet some of you out on the road!

Welcome Pablo and Lorinda!

It's great seeing many active duty personnel utilizing this website. Your story is a familiar one, as we've been camping ever since we got married, I was in the Air Force, have two kids, always had a Jeep, we started with a tent, then pop-up, then trailer, then Class C motorhome, then our present Class A motorhome. But I've never been to Wright-Patt.

I'm sure you're getting what we call "hitch itch". Your "itching" to get "hitched" up and out. When we were newlyweds, we were stationed at FE Warren AFB, WY and wanted to go camping real bad. We had a great day, until it turned dark and freezing. We tried to spend the night, but didn't have the proper equipment. We wimped out and returned home late that night. Now that we're retired and traveling fulltime in our RV (we still camp in a tent at times), we follow the sun. Currently at Lemoore Navy Air Station, CA, it's in the mid 70's.

Again welcome to the website and hope you visit us often!

Hey there and welcome as well.

We are new as well and I enjoy seeing people getting out and spending quality time RVing. My wide and I as well enjoy RVing sine we were in the Army and our son enjoy seeing the things he read about in school and being able to touch it and do report on places he's been. and now since we are retired we don't go as much but our son goes to college next year and My favorite words to go RVing is "Headem Up and Move'em Out' from Rawhide. I drove an 18 wheeler for a year and Ohio is tough on truckers, did you know OHIO to truckers stand for is "Our Hand Is Out" this is for road tolls and the state police but overall a nice state. Have fun taking the family RVing and we look to maybe seeing you'll on the road.

Welcome!

We started fulltiming 4 years ago and love it! We still do seasonal work for about 6 months a year (just started for this summer), but we choose where and what we do. It's actually fun (never thought I'd say "work" was fun) working with campers and RV'ers. We're currently back on "our" mountain in the Sierra National Forest, CA. If anyone comes to Huntington Lake, look us up!

Of course, we visit many military campgrounds when not working for the summer. We've been spending a lot of time in California this past year. We hope to make it back along the south and to Florida this coming Winter. Visiting Alaska is still a thought for summer of 2009 or 2010.
