Less than 100% DAV

I recently was classified as 10% disabled for my hearing loss in the late 70s. I also found out that I could stay at Military Campgrounds due to my status with the VA. I contacted the Round Pond Recreation Area at West Point to inquire about camping. They indicated that only 100% disabled veterans were eligible based on Army Regulation 215 section. Is it only Army facilities that have this requirement? This website shows the facility open to all DAV 0-100%. Being new to the system, I am more than confused...

Hi,

No, it's not just the Army. Being a fairly new law, many facilities are slow to implement the program and educate the managers. In addition, we've found that local commanders choose which criteria they wish to follow.

You can argue and cite the various laws and escalate the issue to higher levels, if you wish.
