Would I be eligible to stay at military campgrounds with a General discharge under honorable conditions?

Larry will probably chime in here with a link to eligibility. BUT, you must be retired or 100% disabled vet for all services.

Some base services are recently opened to all veterans - like the online AAFES, I believe. But, campgrounds is not one. Rules have changed lately on some military services, so someone with more knowledge may jump in with different information.

Small correction - effective January 1st, 2020 ALL honorably discharged veterans with ANY service connected disability (0-100%) ARE authorized use of MWR facilities. This includes campgrounds. However, some campgrounds are slow to initiate this new law.

I'm not sure, but I don't think a "general discharge" is eligible, even if under honorable conditions. But I could be wrong on this.

This article includes copies of the applicable regulations, along with several links on the new 0-100% disability law.
