2.6.6 problems was created by ejaugustine
Larry, I've tried to upgrade to 2.6.6 about 3 times this morning, and the installer keeps looking for milcamps.msi and 2.6.6patch.msp is what is being downloaded. Is it possible that the installer is looking for the .msi to install the .msp? Also, would it be possible for the installer to save the downloaded file by default, to the directory software file folder instead of going to a hidden folder that you have to go into through a command prompt window. Not everyone would know how to get to the hidden folder, not to mention it is a real pain to go into that directory and delete the 2.6.6upgrade.msp so that the program will attempt to download it again.

2. Could you possibly have the upgrade files available here on the website as a upgrade.msi or .exe that we could just download from here when we have problems trying to let the software update itself?

Thanks

Ernie

PS it still is the greatest way to find mil camps and I do tell everyone who can use them about it!

The MilCamps.msi that the patch is looking for should already be on your computer from the previous full install (ver 2.6.4). The folders where the install and update files are kept is controlled buy the Windows installer. I can't change this location.

To get your update to work, you'll need to start over to insure the MilCamps.msi is on your computer (it doesn't come with the patch).
1) Uninstall all previous versions of the Directory software.
2) To be safe, insure the C:Program FilesMilCamps folder and files are completely removed.
3) Download and install the trial software (version 2.6.4). Your registration will remain intact.
4) Once operational, perform the update again.
