Has anyone ever taken the military ,fishing charter out of Seward , for a day of fishing?
Is it a boat ride or do you catch fish?
Please advise

Did not take the charter -- don't like fish -- but a week of camping right in front of where they were unloading their catch and processing it told us they were catching a heck of a lot of big fish. Worth the trip to Seward for other reasons besides the fishing!

I took it with my grandson two years ago July and everyone on the boat caught their limit of halibut. Well worth the money. I would do it again and again.

Seward is not far from my home here in Chugiak. We fish the charters out of Seward and Homer, have yet to come back without a full limit of halibut. The Army has boats you can rent up at Fort Richardson, and you can go out at your own pace, but if you do not know Resurrection bay I would recommend staying with the charter.
