Pretty handy feature....way to go Larry!!!

The only thing wrong with being retired is that you never get a day off!

Fantastic addition, Larry. I haven't been on the site for a few weeks and just discovered this feature.....Also, I just sent off an email to you to discuss hyperlinking to various Family Camp pages in the Military Campgrounds Directory.

No need to reply.....I will now just link my Street Atlas Family Camp icons to this site....WOW!!!! Nice job.

I do not like the hew mapping format. It's too hard for me to use. The old one was simple and easy.

So when I retire and start driving from Michigan to California, will the new map help me in showing I can go a couple hundred miles from campground to campground? Also, so I wait to buy the CD so I get the latest updates or do you send the updates? Thanks in advance.

Welcome. It is possible to use the maps here to create your driving route from campground to campground. Although, you might check into a mapping program for your computer. A program like Microsoft Streets and Trips, or DeLorme's Street Atlas are more powerful and easier to use. You can load the military campground locations into these programs and have more flexibility in planning your travel route. These mapping data files are available free to website members in our FILES area.

With the U.S. Military Campgrounds Directory software, you can schedule to the program to automatically check for updates or you can manually click a button to check for updates. If a newer version of the Directory software is found, you'll have the option to download and install it automatically. An annual "subscription" is required to keep getting the updates.
