During our winters we volunteer and help in the Airman's Attic at MacDill AFB. We are trying to bring our record keeping into the twenty-first century and need some help. We are looking for a cheap or free program so that we can register clients and keep track of items they take each visit.

Perhaps one of you computer guys could come up with a solution. We finally have gotten a laptop computer donated so we are moving forward. I am not a programmer but would think some sort of a data-base program similar to MS Access could be used.

This 'Attic' is run completely by volunteers and has no real sponsorship group (no wive's clubs etc).

Thanks.

Check out Open Office . It's free, very capable, and almost as good as Microsoft Office. It includes a word processor, spreadsheet program, database program, and more.

Sorry, I don't have the time to create the spreadsheet or database for you. But this may get you going in the right direction - for free!

Thanks, Larry. We were looking at Open Office, but need some help on creating the DB using their "base" program.
