Hi.......you've received good advice and i like the support you're getting.I'll throw my 2 cents in coz i've been V.A. rated 100% P & T since 2005.Me and my wife were awarded SSD first-time around,me in '05 and wife in '07.The key for us was researching hard facts about SSD plus "blitzing 'em" with all pertinent V.A. documentation at the time of my SSD intake appointment so they could forward it to the SSD guys who rate it,etc.
SSD typically denies 70% of all first-time claims and on appeal approx 45-50% are then awarded SSD so if you've been oficially denied it is now time to retain a lawyer who specializes in the SSD appeals process.In point of fact,no SSD attorney will touch your case UNTIL you've been officially denied.Good luck and i'm sure you'll prevail.
