We drove down to Fiddler's Cove while staying in the area this week to check on the renovations, hoping to make reservations for this summer. The news is not good...renovations are at a complete standstill. It seems that the campground is part of a bird sanctuary and the conservationists will not allow any construction between the months of March and September. One of the staff members assured us that they will resume renovations this fall with hopes of reopening in Spring 2009. Since this has become one of our favorite camping spots, we'll be keeping in touch to check on the status of reopening and pass it on as we gain new information.
