Agave Gulch Improvements

A `little bird' just informed me that funding for all improvements to Agave Gulch is on hold until 2010 - expanding the wireless network out to the camp sites, increasing the number of camp sites beyond the recent 15 additions. It this true? Comments please!

Not true. The real story is that funding for a large multi-million dollar Air Force level NAF project was not approved for 2010. That is not to say all improvements are on hold till then. Not the same thing. Wireless network thru the park is still pending and will happen. Smaller expansion projects will continue until the big one happens. The folks at the Gulch are not sitting on their hands. Curently some additional full hook-up sites and additional restroom facilities are being researched for the Eagle Court (Eagle Estates) area & overflow section. We are also soon renovating one of the current bathrooms. Expanding the # of handicap sites from 2 to 10 is also being looked at. I hope this answers your questions. Bye for now Gulchman
