New Orleans Closed

A friend said they called New Orleans last Friday to see about reservations and was told that this was their last day to be open. The CG was closing permenantly.
I have not been able to verify, but thought I would post this here and maybe someone could confirm or dispell this info.

I had heard Magnolia Shade was scheduled to close in 2010 or late 2009. I also heard they would be building a new campground. I'm surprised they would be closed now.

They were dismantling the laundry trailer when we were there in early February. I heard they would be opening a new campground in Belle Chase but that ground had not even been broken yet so it will be a while. Too bad as the old location was great for touring New Orleans. Glad we made it there before it closed.
