not sure what happened to my campground review i added a week ago. but i assume it was not positive enough or providing enough rear kissing to redstnes MWR

well folks i hate to think that was the case
but here is my unabridged comment or update the to RV park not the river campground, but the newer RV park up on post near the PX and commissary

first Real nice pads 20 x 65 ish NICE
but the power and water connections are to far forward on the pads. you have to park the rv almost off the pad to hook up, and it wasnt just me. Two other CLASS A motorhomes had the same problem

2nd, 20 bux a night for the privilege of the new pads , thats a bunch of horse cakes, n discounts even for active duty, its all 20 a night, the reasoning was to pay for the new pads >:(

3rd no internet for the price paid

4th the shower house doors will lock you inside. they have one shower and a lock on the main door for you to lock when your showering. well they get stuck. My wife was locked in for quite sometime until we got it unjammed

mwr seemed less than helpful or even concerned. excpet for one thing. the grass was over a foot tall between each site and along the entire parks run, they did get it cut post haste once they were informed.

for 20 a night i would suggest the rocket centers Rv park.

Powerboatr,

On 9/16/07 I received your campground update and photos on Redstone Arsenal RV Park. Much of the information you submitted in the update was personal opinion. Updates are facts I can use for the campground information page, such as phone number, prices, pet policy, etc. I emailed you directly suggesting you also write a review of the campground with your opinions. I don't have a record of you leaving a review.

Although I moderate the reviews, I've only disapproved 3 in the past 2 years. These were for various reasons, but not because of their rating or opinion. Unfavorable reviews are not refused. Actually, they're welcomed as much as the favorable reviews. We want to hear "real life" opinions, not marketing hype.

Because of your update and photo, I seperated Redstone Arsenal Campground and Redstone Arsenal RV Park into two seperate informational pages. Please, do write a review for this RV Park. Your opinon does count and should be added. When viewing the informational page for Redstone Arsenal RV Park, you'll see a link to "Write Review" next to the campground's rating. Perhaps I'll also go change the "Submit Update" page to better clarify what an update is, compared to a review.

Thanks for your support and for bringing this to my attention.

thanks I wil re submit my review, I feel its important for folks to know the RV park itself is nice, but the price for the concrete is absurd.

we get gouged enough as retirees and 20 dollars a night is insane.

especially since i stayed at nsa memphis the weekend before and it was 15 a night and had concrete and full hook ups plus internet was only days away.
the staf was very intouch vice the lackadasical attitude at redstone.

thanks
Robert
