Raccoon Creek Reservations, MacDill AFB, FL

I just got off the phone with the MacDill AFB FAM camp because I wanted to make a reservation for CY2020. I was told that the reservations policy has just changed and that the “books” for 2020 would not open until October 1, 2019. Is this what other have gotten?

That's what the 'booklet' about the campground says. So to make a reservation for the winter of 2020/21 you make beginning 1 Oct 2019. But now the kicker, if you make one for say November 2020, you can't make a new one for 2021/22 until that reservation (for 2020/21) has bee filled. In other words in Oct 2020 you can't make a reservation for 2021/22 because you still have an open reservation.

Deal is unless yo want to come in October every year you are SOL for annual reservations.

Just learned that the FamCamp staff has an almost 100& change - everyone is gone but Bill in the office.
