Fort Fisher Temporarily Closed

Fort Fisher Recreation Area is temporarily closed until further notice due to damage from Hurricane Florence, and ongoing flooding.

With the ocean across the street on one side and the Cape Fear river on the other side I imagine they took a double wallop. My favorite October vacation spot. Best fried seafood platter anywhere at the corner café at the entrance to the Kure Beach pier.
