This message was posted on the Facebook Page for Destin Army Recreation: To all of our guests we would like to notify you that our RV park will be closed from August 1 - Dec 31 2017 for some much needed upgrades. We will take waiting list reservations for January 1 2018 and will keep you posted as we start the upgrades. Thank you from the management and staff at Destin Army Recreation.

Hopefully, they will enlarge some of the RV sites. Destin is a great Rec Area, but the small size of the sites has always been an issue there.

The only thing wrong with being retired is that you never get a day off!
