Went to Pelican Roost site and saw where retired personnel can make a reservation 180 days in advance. Tried to make a reservation on Jan 2. Was told that I could not make a reservation for Jan until 1 Aug. If I count the days on the calendar Jan 2 would 180 days. Why was I told I couldn't make reservations, when their site and the receptionist said reservations can be made 180 days in advance?
When you say you went to the "Pelican Roost site" you must mean on this website that gets updated when the campground or a forum member tells Larry something has changed. I checked this site and it said retirees can make a reservation 6 months in advance. I went to Naval Station Mayport's Official website and it said, "Military Retirees may make reservations up to four months in advance and Department of Defense employees make may reservations up to two months in advance." If Larry doesn't see this post I'll send an email asking him to update the info on this website. I hope you get your reservation.
