west ft. hood

It's 30 DEc 2013 almost nY's eve. Anyone at West Ft Hood right now ? I'm coming to get my RV out of storage & hope there's a RV space avail on NY's eve. thnx & Happy NY's LArry, et. al.

I'm wondering about the place myself, specifically, what is the weather like the end of March into early April?

Can't speak of the current situation at Ft. Hood but when we were there around Dec. 22. The park was full and I am pretty sure a lot of those there have been there for sometime. Was a couple sites open but had trash bags over the power connections indicating sites are in use. Our first time trying to use a military campground and was not to impressed. Ended up staying at a local RV park.

West Ft Hood CG is typically filled with contractor personnel. Except for the new sites, you are usually packed in like sardines. A better choice would be one of the Corp of Eng CGs on the east side of Belton Lake.

Weather is golfing in shorts type. 65-70 in March. 70-80 in April.
