NASKW rumor about on-station personnel leaving

An acquaintance mentioned something about NASKW being put in mothballs or some similar action. Anyone know if there is unusual activity there, that is BS, or the base is operating normally?

In reading the NAS KW online paper, the Navy just signed a new environmental impact statement that indicates they intend on being there for many years to come.

So all personnel are there and CG is operating normally? We plan to arrive there mid-December and don't want any surprises.
