ICE Link was created by afchap
I went to the program tonight to check on my next stay and to do feedback on one just completed, and could not find the link to the ICE site ( ice.disa.mil ). Has the ICE link been removed from the website and software??

Paul,

Currently, there's no ICE link in the Directory software. It's in the plans to be added soon.

The ICE link is on the website on those campgrounds we're aware of that utilize ICE. If you (or anyone) finds a campground listing here that doesn't have an ICE link and should, please let me know. The ICE link is located near the bottom of a campground's information page (if used by the campground).

Paul,

The ICE link you have referenced ( ice.disa.mil/ ) is the most up to date link to use when searching for DoD commands that participate in the program. Larry has probably used this same link to tailor his references in the campgrounds section. In other words, he has taken all the work out of finding the comment cards. I personally think ICE is a good and useful system. Only time will tell if it will be any more successful than the older “open line to the Commanding Officer” was.

p.s Here is an example of the work Larry has saved you. Click on the link - Click on Army - Click on Fort Bliss - Click on recreation - Click on the RV Park and you will finally have the comment sheet. Remember, this is feedback. So use the system. Good and bad feedback can help a program become better. In fact managers might be more prone to accessing the feedback if they get some warm fuzzies every now and then.

Does the ICE link information go to the manager of the MCG, or to the CO of the base?? Or who actually gets this comment when we sent it to ICE?

From our experience last year when we camp hosted at Ft. Stewart, GA....the ICE comments go to the Director of MWR, post CO, and the Rec. Area Mgr...there.....I assume that that maybe the case at other post/bases....but don't know for sure....

Normally, each installation has an appointed "ICE Manager". When DoD receives the ICE feedback, they forward them to the installation's ICE Manager. The distribution from there is based on local procedures. The installation CO may, or may not, see the ICE feedback for MWR. I would hope that they would want to see ALL ICE feedback for their installation, but it's not a guarantee.
