ICQ is an instant messaging computer program, owned by Time Warner's AOL subsidiary. It is very similar to Yahoo Messenger, or the MSN Messenger. The first version of the program was released in November 1996 and it was one of the first Internet wide instant messaging services. The name ICQ is an initialism on the phrase "I seek you".
If a user has a ICQ "connection number", they can elect to have this displayed in their forum profile.
