Can't write a review

Steve;

I have been trying to write a review for Dover AFB, DE and every time I click on the "Write a Review" link it takes me to the reviews section with a note that says there are no reviews. There is no option to write one.

If my reviews are so bad that you don't want any more, just let me know. I don't do subtile.

Of course, this is said with tongue placed firmly in cheek and with the full understanding that this is still a fantastic site, well designed and maintained and very helpful.

Most Sincerely,
Glenn

Steve:

Just tried to write a review for Ft. McCoy, WI and when I clicked on "Write a Review" it took me to the existing reviews and the note "To write a review, register or log on." At the top of that very page I am welcomed to the site by my log-in name.

This harkens back to my "How long is forever" question. Unless you really do have me identified as someone who is not to write reviews. I wasn't paranoid until my last assignment in the Air Force--at the No Such Agency at Ft. Meade, MD.

Sincerely,
Glenn

Ok, there it is.

I went back to Dover and clicked on the Write a Review link which took me to the reviews area and the note No Reviews AS WELL AS the note "To Write a Review Register or Log In".

This, despite the fact that at the top of the page, my log-in name is displayed. I am apparently logged in enough to write messages here but not to write reviews. I am guessing there is a problem somewhere in your permissions.

I'll stop writing to myself now.

Glenn,

If you stop calling me Steve, I might answer. ;D (My name is Larry)

Glad you found the link to write a review. Obviously, there is a glitch with your security. The website and the forums actually uses 2 different security accounts, but they are "supposed" to be bridged and act as one. Guess this isn't happening with your account.

May I suggest changing your password and see if this forces the system to "sync" up your accounts. You can change your password from the Forums area, select PROFILE from the forums menu. When there, on the new left menu is an option for ACCOUNT RELATED SETTINGS. From there, you can change your password. If you prefer, send me a private email and I can change your password for you. This is 'sort of' a test to see if it corrects the problem.

Thanks for the prominent mention of the website and link! However, our "U.S. Military Campgrounds Directory" software is MUCH better than the book you refer to. ;)

Larry,

Then who is this Steve who has been lurking in my mind as you? Could it be a deep-dark conspiracy set in motion by the shadow government, or might it be that, no, it couldn't simply be that I, God forbid, that I might have made a misteak? Of course not, back to the shadow government.

I have NOT yet been successful at writing a review. It still tells me that I need to log in.

Will try the change of password you suggested and will let you know how it works out.

Right now I am at Quartzsite, AZ in the middle of the desert with poor to no connectivity. When I get the time I will revise that portion of my web site that refers to the book. I agree your software is far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far superior to the overpriced book. Looking for a round TUIT.

Let me go off and re-define myself to your web site.

Finally worked it out. The problem is not with your program, rather it was with my firewall security settings. Others may be having this problem too and now there is a solution. This all started when I upgraded my security suite. It automatically set my Cookies to the highest setting. Your program relies on Cookies and the local setting must allow "third party Cookies."

So put that in your fix-it kit for future reference and thanks again for a really super site.

Most Sincerely,
Glenn
