search link on the home page

what happened to the link to search for campgrounds, it used to be on the home page an down i am lost

Nothing has changed...

1. The website search button is at the top of the right column (above your login). This will search the entire website.
2. The campground specific search button is below the state listing of campgrounds locations. This will ONLY search the campground listings. There's also an "advanced search" option in the same location, which allows you to narrow your campground search to specific criteria. The USA map and sate listing can be found by CLICKING ON the "Recreation Facilities Info" menu option.
3. Finally, there is an option to search the USA map to a specific area, state, or even city or town. This option can be found at the top of the USA map.

i had thought that and pulled down the drop down under the recreation facilities info box but only saw
bottom to top

You're NOT CLICKING on the "Recreation Facilities Info" menu option. If you just place your mouse over this option, you will only see the drop-down sub-menu options. Like any other menu option, you need to CLICK your mouse ON the menu to make it work.

Don't take it so hard. Many users have made this mistake. The automatic drop-down of the sub-menus throws them off. What is supposed to be a fancy feature has confused many people. :side:
