We think this is a great place. Beautiful fall colors all around and across the highway during our stay. We saw several elk—6 points!!! The purpose of our trip was to visit Pinnacles National Park. The park’s RV campsites were completely sold out. This was an affordable alternative with full hookups within 1.5 hours to the park. We rode cruiser bikes with an attached baby carrier on base. Easy, flat trails and roads are everywhere. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.

Third visit here, the last was two years ago. This time in “newer” section of the park. The access road to the RV park seems to have gotten more potholes and rougher than the last visit. Watch for the big dip when getting close to the last turn into the RV park. Site pretty level and wide enough. Gravel pad. All worked well. We like this park, it is quiet, other campers are friendly, and price is great. Some over the air TV signal, no wi-fi, just basic no frills RV park. Again we like this place and will return again. We enjoy riding our bikes around the post and out around the perimeter. This trip we saw a wide variety of critters, a lot of Tule Elk, wild pig, bobcat, deer, coyotes, and Bald Eagles. Coyotes do visit the RV park and will come in close looking for “pet snacks.

Stayed here about a year ago, in the “new” section of the park. This visit are in the “older” part. Our site has some gravel and grass. We parked on the grass with our door out to the gravel section. The gravel has a fair amount of weeds growing in it but are of the short variety. Being on the grass puts us closer to the hook-ups at the power pole. These sites are very wide. The sites have used picnic tables, don’t recall those being here last year, must have been re-purposed. Also looks like a number of the old section sites have had crushed stone/small gravel added to them. The crushed stone was then leveled off and compacted nicely. The parking pad is wide enough for an RV and another vehicle parked beside. Last year want to say there was an RV here that looked like it had been here a very long time with wooden steps, etc. That RV is no longer here and doesn’t appear as though any homesteaders are present. Check-in staff very friendly and gave information about a couple buildings were coin-op washers & dryers could be located. Price is $15 per night, thought this was the Golden Access rate but was told cost $15 flat. Can hear some road noise from Hwy 101 but nothing overpowering. Even though the Coffee Café has a large sign in front indicating “Internet Café” there is no internet to be had on base. Overall we like this place.

The Jun 25, 12 is not what we found. The squirrels ar not as big as cats and they run from you; and our camp spot was gravel and level and no squirrels have come up on the gravel. w/20,30,50amp,s for $10 per night. We have signed up for 17 days and may stay longer. The staff is great and there is a great Elks lodge in Paso Robels. Wal-Mart is not a super but they have lots of food items. The Bud light was cheaper than the BX even with CFV and tax.

WOW! Paso Robles has grown up! Great place to roam. The Moose Lodge is very friendly. Near Hearst Castle and Denny's is just 5 min away. The campground has full hookups. A little tricky to find at 4 in the morning. Guard is very graceful and polite no matter how many times you get lost. We found the price is nice! No restrooms or showers, but our RV with water, sewer and electric did just fine. Will return!
