This is a great campground. It is close to Williamsburg and Fort Eustis. The new campground on B street is still not open as of Oct. 2011. Did a drive through to check it out. It is wide open with no shade. Large concrete pads with full hookups. Bring some leveling blocks because the sites on the outer edges are not level. Satellite reception is possible. The other campground is by the golf course. Nice wooded sites but be sure to tell them the size of your unit because some sites are small. Stayed at site 14 and it was tight to get my 32 foot 5th wheel in because of the fence around the play area. Satellite reception is blocked by the trees except for a few sites. (5 and 6) Cable TV is shared by 3 sites so bring a long cable wire. Small NEX store gas station close by. Cafe behind NEX serves breakfast and lunch and is a short bike ride from the campsites. Commissary and US Army Transportation Museum is at Fort Eustis 15 miles away. Due to the location and size of the lot at the CAX Outdoor Rec Registration office on D street that is not big rig friendly I would recommend to call and find out what site you are in park your rig in the site then go register.
