We arrived March 25, a Wednesday and the office was closed. Had a hard time connecting with camp host because we were there for commissioning of USS New Mexico and were out early and back late. Finally got out site paid for Saturday afternoon. Sites are large and area was clean. Several homesteaders there but plenty of room. Convenient to base main gate but no access to base from campground. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this campground to anyone staying in the Norfolk area.
