This is our 4th or 5th time here. This campground has such character. The sites are spread out around a beautiful lake teeming with wildlife. Saw two large flocks of wild turkey during a boat tour of the lake along with two large beaver dams. Wide open spaces for walking and privacy. Marina has motorboats (reasonably priced) for fishing and just cruising the lake. Very close to DC for tourist trips. Right next door to the new Marine Corps Museum. When you are on the lake, you forget that you are right in the middle of I-95 corridor just outside the Washington Beltway. The campground is right beside the FBI Academy and in fact the FBI police provide security.
