From the previous comments, we decided NOT to call to make a reservation. We got in on Friday evening (Fourth of July Weekend) and the available sites were posted in a small glass enclosed room attached to the right of the FAMCamp building 564. We had to share electric and water hookups for one night, although everyone was very helpful giving us a 50AMP to 30AMP pigtail and we used a "v" to hook into the water. Not a problem at all. We met with the Camp Host the next morning and we were moved to another full hookup site for the next 4 days. The Camp Host does his best to accommodate all rigs coming in and can always find you a space. It is true that he does not have time to answer the telephone. Sites 1-14 are situated in the trees and seem to be older sites with some being gravel. Sites 15-28 are newer sites with concrete pads and full hookups. Sites 29-35 are next to the Overflow in the back of the park and were mostly gravel with water and electric hookups. Be patient folks and be kind. A few folks said they had reserved a special site and were so rude to other campers when someone else was in that space. See the host (#7 site) and he will work out a site for you. I would suggest not calling to reserve a site as there seemed to always be a spot open. The campground was very clean and well taken care of. There are hiking and walking trails in view of mountains and the valley located at the back of the FAMCamp. The Laundromat and bathrooms were very clean. The Shoppette is open 7/24 and within walking distance of the FAMCamp. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.
