They wouldn’t keep us from returning, but there were some annoying aspects to our stay here. The very first is that the Roy gate movable barriers made for a tight entry for my large MH plus tow. The security guards refused to move them a bit to make it safer. Be aware that the base doesn’t have many road/information signs. Ask for a base map at the gate. The camp ground has community water faucets in the original section of the C/G. It’s possible to have several rigs hooked to one faucet and it not be convenient to your site. Bring plenty of water hose. All the pull thrus are alternated 180 degrees. Meaning that when you pull in, you and your neighbor are going to be facing door to door. The newer sites are by just a few inches long enough for a forty footer plus tow. More than annoying is that the voltage is low and gets lower as you use electrical equipment. We didn’t have a problem with making a reservation. Called, left a message, and received a return call the next morning. I got here on a Sunday, but the host must have noticed our arrival. He drove up to the closed office in a golf cart, checked us in, and led us to our site. I noticed that the posted self check in instructions at the office were easy to follow. They even post the names of those who have reservations and which site is to be occupied. Rather simple if you have a reservation. The manager was helpful in providing some brochures and local information about the local area. Good customer service.
