My wife Cindy and I were forced to evacuate the Texas Gulf Coast due to Hurricane Ike bearing down on Galveston County. I contacted the park and reserved a space. I have to tell you folks; If you ever have to be an "Evacuee", this is a great way to do it. The park is wonderful and the staff is outstanding. The park spaces are huge and most of them are pull thru. They are level and hard surface. The shower and laundry facilities are "First Class". It is a short drive to the main base and all of the support services you could possibly need. We did not even notice the occasional train passing or the noise created by the ongoing construction. The creek problem is being addressed. Overall, our stay was "Outstanding". We will definitely stay here again when visiting the San Antonio area. We send our thanks to FSH and the Famcamp staff for their great service in our time of need. It's great to be a retiree! - Greg & Cindy Szanyi - Santa Fe, Texas
