The main RV Park entry from Benz Engleman Road has been closed since at least August with no repair work taking place so far on the washed out bridge that leads you into the campground. You must enter the park from the back side of the post (Holbrook Road); but call ahead for clear directions since I-35 ramps are undergoing extensive work right now. To get to the main post, you must exit the park and travel either south on the I-35 access road to Benz Engleman or else loop back around the north side of the post to another gate. To get back to the park, you must get onto I-35 north and loop back to the southside access road or else exit the main post at another gate and get to the I-35 access road via a city street. Internet service is still limited to one dial up line in the office (which closes at 1600 hours). And watch out for the fire ants! That aside, this is a great place to shut down and visit San Antonio. While your there, please take some time to go visit some of our wounded warriors at Brook Army Medical Center and the Center for the Intrepid.
