We went by to look on the 27th of Aug. We are staying at Canyon Lake, and will move to Ft. Sam on Thursday. The main road in is closed, due to flooding. There is a river going accross it. You need to enter from the back way. Take exit 162, then take the first right. Holbrook rd. (the sign is hidden by trees, but it is just before the national guard armory.) It is not a good road, but is passable. The gate is straight ahead, and the famcamp is on the left. We were told the main road will be closed for at least another month. Call before you come to check. Other than that it is still one of the best deals.
