We pulled in late on a holiday (Veteran's Day) and the camp host met us at the entrance. Gave us our choice of two sites, showed us to the site, got out his blower and blew the ever falling pine needles clear of the entire site and helped us get situated. He then sat down with us and and gave us many information flyers about the Charleston attractions while he registered us. Our site was beautiful, a full and perfectly level concrete pad with easy hookups and many trees surrounding it. Loads of room for slide-outs and car. Sites are oversize with plenty of space between adjoining sites. The base facilities are modern and first class. We visited the library, commissary and BX. Effective 10/01/12 only the retiree can dine at the mess hall, dependents are no longer allowed. We chose the site farthest from the camp entrance and our wi-fi was unreliable. Otherwise, we were extremely impressed with the camp and highly recommend a visit.
