Review Detail

This is a common destination for us since we have family in Fayetteville. Things appear to be improving here. They have a new manager and several new employees. The manager indicates that she is pushing for more camp sites. The command here has finally recognized the value of having a good FAMCAMP. The interstate loop off of I-95 is due to be expanded so that it will pass right by the campground. They are now taking reservations a day in advance so people will know whether a site is available. The Smith Lake area which is all on Army property has tremendous potential that is just now being realized. A new riding stable just opened and a paint ball range is nearby. The lake has a beach and several picnic areas. Fort Bragg has great facilities and the PX and commissary is only a short drive from the camp. The campground was completely full this visit for the first time in memory.
