Very disappointing! After staying at many FamCamps such as the Air Force Academy and Nellis, we were amazed at the conditions........The gravel sites were poorly laid and we had standing water at the front end of our site for the entire time even though there was no rain. Leaves were a foot deep and I'm not sure they had ever been raked making it very dangerous to walk the dogs. The interior roads were rutted and in very poor condition. Honestly, all it would take would be a little initiative - we know AF dollars are short for things like Wi-Fi and 50 AMP sites (which Andrews does not have), but this campground needs to focus on the basics. Ask folks to pitch in for some self-help over a weekend and you could really improve the appearance. Additionally, we had been on the road for 4 weeks by the time we got to Andrews and did not always have Internet connection. We called a few days before arriving to ask for details on gate entry, etc., and were told to look it up on the Internet-not very accommodating. This place is a jewel in the rough but it needs lots of attention.
