Version 2.0.3 Released

This means the monthly update will delete any prior versions, then install the complete new version. This is required because of a change in how future updates will be obtained and processed. Don't worry - your registration information is retained and kept intact.

The new update process is a professional add-on. Some of the new update features include:

• Ability to schedule automatic checking for updates.
  ALL possible updates will be shown, even if you missed a few month's updates.
  A short description of what the update contains is now shown.
  Ability to select which updates to install.
  Updates now have the capability to require a previous update or version be installed prior to allowing for the new update.
  

There was also a change on the home page, mainly with the USA map now showing the locations of military campgrounds on the same map. There's no longer a need to go to a seperate state map to view military campground locations on a national level.

When I check my version, it say Version MZP. Does that correspond to 2.0.3?

No - that looks like something is corrupt. It will actually say "Version 2.0.3"

You can check for updates within the program. It will tell you if there are any to install. Otherwise, you can also remove the current version and download and install the entire latest 7-day trial. Since you are already registered, the trial version will be "unlocked" when it's installed.

Version 2.0.4 will be released in the next couple of weeks.

Let me know if you still have corrupt info after you've installed the latest version.

That worked. Version 2.0.3 sure is different!

I updated my software last week. It shows revision 2.0.4 but I never new about revision 2.0.3! How do I get to a version that works? The updates that I have posted in the last several weeks don't appear on the software I have on my computer. Question 2: Is there or will there be a charge for logging onto the web edition in addition to the cost of the software? We are 3/4 timers and prefer to stay at military campgrounds. Your program information is a true value to me.

Answer 1: Version numbers of the Directory software are incremental. It sounds like you started with version 2.0.3 (or earlier) and updated to version 2.0.4 last week. A new version is released around the end or beginning of the month. Version 2.0.5 (February) was just released yesterday. Do another update to get it.

Since updates for the software are only released once a month, it may take a month (maybe a bit more) to see changes and new reviews appear. The reviews you recently submitted were after the January update (2.0.4) and wouldn't appear until the next release. If you look now, they are in the February update (2.0.5). Part of the latest software database change is reviews in the Directory software no longer have a name associated with them. But you'll see your reviews are now there.

Answer 2: No, there's currently no charge for the website. Access to the website is free. I've contemplated asking for a small fee to access all the information on the website. I know I'm giving away free, what I charge for in the software. I'm competing against myself. If I was to ask for a small fee for the website, those that have purchased a subscription to the software would get web access free. Those that haven't purchased a subscription to the software would be asked to pay a small fee.

However, my goal is to keep the website free. The website will continue to be free if I continue to receive good support from visitors. There's 3 ways visitors can support the website:

• Periodically visit our Google sponsors.
  
• Purchase a subscription to the US Military Campgrounds Directory software.
  
• Donations are also accepted.
